I thought it was a descent action flick with some truly amazing special FX. What it lacked, though, was a sense of gravitas. We see three fight sequences throughout the film, and all provide terrific eye candy, but carry little emotional weight. Sometimes it felt as if I was watching a cut scene to a video game. By the time the big underwater fight sequence came along, I was kind of bored.
How someone could praise this film, but knock any of the Transformers movies is beyond me.
