I watched a movie on netflix months ago, either in the horror or thriller section, about a woman who lives her life proving that ghosts aren't real. She is a troubled woman and the people who raised her (her parents died when she was young as well as her brother) get more and more worried about her. You find out during the movie that she does this work because she is looking for her dead brother, and everytime she proves that ghosts don't exist, it takes a toll on her. Most of the movie is set in an all boy boarding school where they think there is a little ghost boy haunting the buliding, so they seek out this woman to help figure it out. She makes friends with one of the young boys, finds out that the "ghost" was just one of the residents playing immature pranks at night, and then at the end of the movie it turns out there is a ghost, and the "school" was her house as a child where her family died and one of the female employees at the school is actually her old maid and the ghost is her brother, but she doesn't remember any of it until the end. The twisted maid wanted the boy and his sister and her to all be together again and poisons herself and the woman. But in the end the ghost hunter woman/sister gets saved by a love interest she met while she was at the house. I didn't think the movie was actually scary, but I enjoyed it a lot and wanted to watch it again. I thought it had the word "house" or "Ghost" in the title but when I searched through netflix I couldn't seem to find it. I think it was somewhat recent; 2011 maybe.
