My favorites:
1. Finding Nemo -- Still the best of the bunch with an incredible combination of heart, humor, and good ole fashioned storytelling.
2. Ratatouille -- Pixar's classiest movie is also the studio's most intelligent. Brad Bird's direction and the visual palette are remarkably lifelike.
3. The Incredibles -- My only gripe with this film? Where's the sequel? Animation has improved considerably since Pixar's first foray into action/adventure, I'm excited to see where this series goes.
4. Toy Story 2 -- Toy Story 3 packs an emotional wallop, but part 2 was the funner film. Full of great visual gags, a heartfelt story, and a brilliant script, Toy Story 2 took a great premise and improved upon it tenfold.
5. Monsters University -- I'm surprised at the negativity directed towards this movie. People praise films like Up and Wall-E that, while beautifully designed, lack a cohesive story structure, but then slam a film like Monster's University for not being daring enough? What I found was the best animated film of the year, and Pixar's best in a long while.
